Reduced Shank Cobalt Drill Silver & Deming.

An excellent general-purpose cobalt Black & Silver drill bit manufactured by Rocky Mountain Twist using industrial grade AIS1 Cobalt Steel. Reduced shank drill bits are also known as Blacksmiths drills or Silver and Deming. All sizes feature a ½” reduced round shank with a 3” flute and 6” overall length. HSCO Drill bits from RMT have superior red hardness for high temperature applications. Less load pressure is required when operating these drills.

Reduced shank Blacksmiths drills are designed for a standard ½” / 13mm chuck. They also feature a split point which penetrates the substrate on contact and prevents the drill from wondering, often negating the need for piloting.
