Description
Phantom HSS Jobber Drill DIN 338H Slow Helix.
Slow Helix Phantom HSS Jobber Drill Bits manufactured in accordance with DIN 338H. Slow helixes (or Low Helix) are designed for brittle materials that form small chips. Ideal drill bits for drilling brass, bronze, copper and zinc. These drills can also be used in plastics, engineered plastics and acrylics. They have a 118° point angle and are jobber length in many .1 increment drill sizes. A great drill bit for drilling brass. The 11700 prevents the nesting of swarf associated with drilling softer copper alloys such as brass.Application

Use for Pre-Drilling Brass Plate
We used these drills in a small high frequency spindle for pre-drilling holes in 2mm brass on a flat bed machine. Other drills were jamming with swarf build-up. We used these drills and alleviated the problem straightaway.
